An analogy might be... you can hire the best security guard in the world (individual producer) to guard your house, or you could have an entire security company engaged (as part of a more complete and flexible solution - accountable for protection) that can call for back up. i.e. company's should embrace the "new" and recognize it is not a best practice to necessarily rely on the "old".
