Q4B Reports Successful University Recruiting Project for Samsung Austin Semiconductors
SAS Utilizes Sourcing Bandwidth on Demand to Hire for Engineering PositionsHOUSTON, TEXAS (May 16, 2006) - Q4B (Quantum Solutions for Business, Inc) announced the results of a campus recruiting project for Samsung, which yielded 107 offers extended to qualified candidates and 72 hires directly attributed to Q4B efforts. Samsung implemented a SBOD (Sourcing Bandwidth on Demand) service with Q4B in order to efficiently hire recent college graduates for positions in Process Engineering, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing & Operations.
Samsung chose to implement the SBOD service from Q4B due to an increase in their need for recent college graduates resulting from a new manufacturing facility opening in Austin, TX. The SBOD offers a scalable and effective candidate sourcing effort that can be increased or decreased as necessary. The SBOD service allowed Samsung to augment their existing University Recruiting efforts with an outsourced solution from Q4B. This solution leveraged a team of sourcing specialists, recruiting consultants, field support personnel, and account managers in order to maximize quality candidates and build a Private Talent Warehouse.
The Sourcing Bandwidth On-Demand service showcases Q4B's multi-faceted sourcing capabilities; Candidate Relationship Management (CRM), and reporting and metrics. Q4B's oversight, day-to-day management of the project, and weekly evaluation of progress with the client using dashboard metrics ensures a consistent delivery of service, provides a quicker time to fill, and centralizes accountability.
Since college recruiting is cyclical in nature, Samsung chose this service in order to efficiently source, screen, select and hire candidates in a timely, cost-efficient manner.
Nick Tubach, President of Q4B said, "Companies with in-house recruitment capabilities experiencing a cyclical or temporary spike in need typically rely on us for the heavy lifting (i.e. high volume or direct-from-competitors sourcing). This affords the client's recruiters the ability to focus their attention on strategic demand planning as well as the latter stages of recruitment, managing relationships with hiring managers. It typically also decreases dependency on agencies. In the Samsung case, the assigned Q4B team sourced well over 5000 candidates nationwide."
Serena Townsend, Senior Human Resources Specialist, Samsung Austin Semiconductor was consistently impressed with Q4Bs performance during the engagement. "Q4B immediately understood the urgency and importance of our project and took the necessary steps to ensure the projects success during the early planning stages. In addition, we received exceptional customer service and support during the engagement, and the project team was receptive to any changes in process and strategy as we made accommodations to ensure our goal achievement. I also believe that they treated our candidates very professionally, which was extremely important to us."
